As well as choosing the perfect length for your veil, the width matters, too. Dresses come in all kinds of shapes, widths, and lengths such as Ballgowns (full and fluffy) to Sheaths (sleek and form fitting) and A-line (flared) to Mermaid (fitted and then flared). There is also a big difference in the width and train for each style of wedding dress and how your wedding veil width and length helps finish your overall look.

The mantra is:

The wider the dress,

the wider the veil,

never more narrow

or the look will fail.

The shorter the veil,

don’t worry how wide,

but if the dress is form fitting,

don’t swamp the bride.

At Laviamor we make sure our veils our tailored to always look their best in ratio of width and length. Cathedral length veils are 78” wide and our Royal Cathedral length veils are 108” wide, so they are balanced in design.
